What the calculators assume
- Decimal odds include your stake: a winning ₹100 back bet at 3.00 returns ₹300, which is ₹200 profit.
- Liability of a lay bet = backer's stake x (odds - 1). It is the most you can lose, and it is set aside when the bet is matched.
- Commission is charged on net winnings in a market, at the rate you enter. The real rate, and how it is rounded, is set by the exchange.
- Matching is not guaranteed. The calculators assume your bet is matched in full at the price you type. On a real exchange it may be matched partly, later, or not at all.
- They are not advice. A calculator tells you what a bet would pay; it cannot tell you whether to place it.
